Dr Pramod Menon

Dr Pramod is a leading consultant psychiatrist in Rockhampton.

After completing his undergraduate medical studies from University of Mumbai in India, in 1999, Dr Pramod Menon did his specialist training in psychiatry in the United Kingdom gaining membership of The Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) in 2008.

In 2013, he completed the Royal College of Psychiatry higher specialist training in general adult psychiatry with additional endorsement in rehabilitation psychiatry, subsequent to which he worked as a Consultant Psychiatrist in the National Health Services of the UK.

Whilst in his clinical roles, Pramod has also obtained a postgraduate certificate in medical education (PGCE) from the UK and was engaged in research.

In 2015, Pramod began working as a Consultant Psychiatrist at the Rockhampton Hospital. In 2017, he achieved the Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP). He held the title of ‘Lecturer’ at the University of Queensland (UQ).

Dr Pramod began private practice on June 1st, 2017 and will hence forth be consulting at the We Care Clinic (Hillcrest Specialist Centre, Suite 6, 2 Talford Street, Hillcrest Hospital, Rockhampton, 4700) as well as having admission rights to Archer view Clinic at Hillcrest Rockhampton Private Hospital.

He has a special interest in psychosis, mood, anxiety, eating disorders, ADHD and Autism spectrum disorders. Dr Pramod applies his medical knowledge, clinical skills and professional attitude in providing a patient centred care. He shares his knowledge and expertise with patients and enables them to make informed choices.
